The Science and Engineering South Building is located at the corner of Taylor and Halsted.

Transit

• The 157 Streeterville/Taylor bus stops in front of the building on Taylor St
• The 8 Halsted bus stops at Halsted & Taylor just across the street from our building
• We’re about 0.5 miles south (across campus) from the UIC-Halsted Blue Line Station
  • You can take the 8 Halsted bus from the Blue Line Station to the Halsted & Taylor stop next to our building

Getting to the Center

Finding the MSLC can be confusing. Here are some step-by-step guides and videos to help you find us. If you get lost, feel free to LiveChat us or give us a call at 312-355-4900.

Accessible Entrance

• Approaching Science and Engineering South (SES) from the crosswalk on Taylor (walking south across Taylor St.), there will be a wheelchair accessible sign pointing right
• Go right (west) on the Taylor St sidewalk, and then take a left to head south on the sidewalk path along the west side of SES (there will be another accessibility sign)
• NOTE: Our video shows someone walking east on Taylor. They begin by taking a right (south) onto the Taylor St side path
• Proceed on this path until you approach the Science & Engineering South sign and the ramp adjacent to the building
• Enter the first floor of the building (door will be on your right) and proceed straight through the main the hallway and then left to the elevator landing
• Take the elevator to the third floor and you will arrive at the MSLC

West Entrance

• This entrance is near the large lecture hall classrooms
• After crossing Taylor St and traveling up the inclined walkway toward SES, walk up the stairs on the west (on the right if you’re coming from Taylor) and enter the building (you will be on the second floor)
• Turn left and you will see a sign with directions
• Continue to the elevator and stairwell on your left
• Take either of these to the third floor
• You will exit onto a landing that leads you to the MSLC

East Entrance

• After crossing Taylor St and traveling up the inclined walkway toward SES, walk up the stairs on the east (on the left if you’re coming from Taylor) and enter the building (you will be on the second floor)
• You can turn immediately left after entering the first set of doors to take the stairs to the third floor, following the signs for the MSLC until you arrive
• You can also proceed straight through the second set of doors from the main entrance and continue straight to the staircase (NOTE: this is the path our video shows)
• If you proceed through the building through both sets of doors and up the stairs, take a sharp right once you’re on the first landing. There will be a sign on the stairs guiding you to the MSLC
• Continuing to follow the signs straight until you approach the MSLC on your right
